Maintenance fees, paid in the app

Residents pay maintenance fees inside the FiWi Community app — by card, in JMD or USD, with AutoPay if they want it. Funds settle to the community's bank account the same business day, and every payment auto-reconciles against the invoice — whether your community uses FiWi's built-in accounting, QuickBooks Online, or Sage Accounting. Boards stop chasing arrears. Treasurers stop reconciling spreadsheets. Residents stop dropping cheques at the office.

What changes for your treasurer

AutoPay turns recurring fees into something residents don't have to think about — and gives the board cash flow they can plan around.

AutoPay

Residents enroll once. Maintenance fees clear automatically on the due date — no more chasing, no more reminders, no more excuses.

Same-day settlement

Funds land in the community's bank account the same business day residents pay — not three to five days later. Cash flow stays predictable.

Automatic reconciliation

Every payment matches its invoice automatically — in FiWi's built-in accounting, QuickBooks Online, or Sage Accounting. Your treasurer stops doing line-by-line reconciliation by hand.

Instant receipts

Every successful payment generates an instant digital receipt. No more "I paid weeks ago" disputes, no more chasing proof, no more manual receipt books.

JMD and USD support

Bill and accept payments in either Jamaican or US dollars. Overseas owners pay in their currency without wire fees, FX runarounds, or weeks-long delays.

Pay arrears, regain gate access

Payments, ledger, and gate access connect in one platform. The moment a delinquent owner pays, gate access restores automatically — no follow-up calls required.

How it works

Three steps from invoice to settled funds — no spreadsheets, no manual matching, no trips to the bank.

1

Invoice issued

Maintenance fee invoices generate from your accounting ledger — FiWi's built-in platform, QuickBooks, or Sage — and appear in the resident's app instantly.

2

Resident pays

Tap to pay in JMD or USD — or let AutoPay clear the invoice automatically on the due date. Visa and Mastercard supported.

3

Settled and reconciled

Funds land in the community's bank account same-day. The payment matches its invoice automatically and updates your ledger — built-in, QuickBooks, or Sage.

The numbers speak for themselves. Good standing improved by 23 percentage points, delinquent accounts were cut in half, and our residents have shifted from paying late to paying ahead. This platform converted our policies from aspirations into results.

  • PCI-DSS compliant card handling
  • Visa and Mastercard accepted (credit and debit)
  • JMD and USD settlement to your community's bank

Common questions

How are payments processed?
Payments are processed through Amber Pay, a Jamaican payment platform. Card data is handled directly by Amber Pay under PCI-DSS compliance — FiWi never stores card numbers.
Can residents pay in US dollars?
Yes. FiWi Community supports both JMD and USD billing and payment, which is especially useful for overseas owners who would otherwise need to wire funds or visit a bank.
How does AutoPay work?
Residents enroll in AutoPay through the app and authorize automatic payments on the maintenance fee due date. They receive a notification before each charge and an instant digital receipt once the payment clears. Residents can pause or cancel AutoPay at any time.
What happens if a card expires or fails under AutoPay?
The resident is notified immediately and prompted to update their card. The community treasurer also sees a clear status in the management dashboard, so failed payments don't silently slip into arrears.
When do funds reach the community's bank account?
Funds settle to the community account on the same business day for most transactions. There's no three-to-five-day wait that residents and treasurers have come to expect from traditional card processing.
Does this replace QuickBooks or Sage?
Only if you want it to. FiWi Community includes a built-in accounting platform purpose-built for strata corporations and community corporations, and many communities run on that alone. Communities already on QuickBooks Online or Sage Accounting can keep their existing ledger — payments auto-reconcile into whichever system you use.
